This six-months course is designed for clinical service providers (nurses and Doctors).  The course builds on the learners' past knowledge and experiences. It provides the learner with the knowledge, skills, and attitude required for providing male circumcision.   The course emphasizes learning by doing and uses competency-based evaluation of performance.   It assesses prior knowledge of circumcision using pre-course assessment to determine individual and group knowledge of male circumcision. Classroom and clinical practice sessions are used to provide practice in male circumcision. Interactive teaching methods, simulated practice, and practice with clients will be used. Competency will be assessed during didactic, simulated practice, and practice with clients. Successful completion of the course is based on mastery of both content and skill components.
